Hours
The main club flying day is SUNDAY from 7:30am.
- General public visitors are most welcome to attend the regular Sunday club flying days
- MAAQ/MAAA affiliated visitors are welcome to fly once they have been given a club induction by a club commitee member
Use of the club facilities for general flying activities by Club members can be undertaken during daylight hours from 7:30am, 7 Days a week.
Location
The Cairns Model Aero Club has moved to its new flying field site (December 2022) which is located on the Carne Access Road.
Access to the field is as per the below directions.
The method of entry is;
1) Turn off Bruce Highway down Thomson Road towards the Cairns Speedway past the Edmonton Men’s Shed
2) Turn left onto Carnes Access Road and drive continue down it for several hundred metres where you will see the flying field entrance on your left
The Turn-off point onto the field is marked
This is the ONLY approved entry onto the flying field.
